Carden data · chains and franchises

What each salon loses, in euros. While the day goes by.

Real waiting time, walkouts, service durations, empty slots: measured in the salon, to the minute, by the same rules everywhere. You know where to act first, and what it’s worth.

Rota adjusted to the peaks

Six measures

Measured in the salon, not in a spreadsheet.

Measured the same way at every site: at last, your salons can be compared with each other.

Walk-in

Walkouts, finally counted
Clients who came in and left without being served, by salon and by hour.
Where demand exists and where your network turns it away.

Walk-in

The real wait
Median and peak, recorded at every visit — not the wait announced.
Which site keeps the promise, and which one slips on Saturdays.

Walk-in

The service rate
Served out of arrivals. The figure that tells you whether a site absorbs its footfall.
An enforceable standard, the same for every site.

Both

Actual duration
The real time each service takes, timestamped, against the catalogue time.
A catalogue adjusted to what the team really does.

Both

Hourly footfall
How many come in, at what time, on which day — salon by salon.
Add staff at the right time rather than spreading them thin.

Appointments

Booking lead time
How far ahead each salon is booked, and when the diary is full.
The salons turning away same-day clients without knowing it.

To start

The optimisation audit: your figures before any decision.

You choose
One to three salons. One doing well, one struggling: that’s often the most telling.
Carden measures
On appointments, by reading the history. Walk-in, by timestamping every visit.
You decide
The revenue lost per salon, the levers with figures attached, and next steps if they make sense.

Depending on your network

Two kinds of network, two questions.

Your network runs on appointments.

How many slots do your salons leave empty on the day? And how many could you win back?

Carden for chains

Walk-ins are your promise.

Is it kept in every salon, on a Saturday at 5 pm? And where does it slip?

Where do the figures come from?+

From the salon itself. In a network that runs on appointments, Carden reads the existing booking systems, with each salon’s agreement. In a walk-in network, every visit is timestamped by Carden Salon, from ticket to chair. No market estimates, no imported averages.

Do we have to change the network’s tools?+

No. A network on Fresha or Treatwell keeps its booking system: Carden reads it. Only walk-in sites that want to measure their footfall install Carden Salon — a kiosk or a QR code is enough to start.

How do we start?+

With the optimisation audit, on one to three salons you choose. You see your own figures before deciding anything for the rest of the network.

Can the data feed into our reporting tools?+

Yes: it can be exported, salon by salon. The format is agreed during the pilot, with your team.

Who owns the data?+

The network. Hosted in Europe, GDPR-compliant, never published or sold, and exportable at any time — including when the contract ends.
